Robin Hood Airport shortlisted for award
ROBIN Hood Airport has been shortlisted for the "Airport of the Year" prize in the TTG Travel Awards, run by trade newspaper Travel Trade Gazette.
The airport will be up against Bournemouth, Bristol, Cardiff, East Midlands and Manchester airports for the title.
Jodi Stow, marketing and communications manager at Robin Hood Airport, said: "The TTG Travel Awards are held in the highest regard and acknowledged as a universal benchmark of quality within the travel industry.
"We are tremendously proud to have been shortlisted."
Judges for the awards include experts from travel companies and trade bodies such as Thomas Cook, Sandals and the Institute of Travel and Tourism.
Daniel Pearce, editor of TTG, said: "We've been overwhelmed by the strength of this year's entries." Winners will be announced at a ceremony at London's Grosvenor House Hotel on Thursday, September 23.
