Santas seek sackfuls of cancer charity cash
Cycling Santas James Risker and Karl Eling are hoping to help deliver a sackload of money to charity from an event in Dalby Forest, North Yorkshire.
Marie Curie Cancer Care is staging Rudolph's Romp, its first ever Christmas cycling event at the Purple Mountain Bike Centre, where James and Karl work, in the woodland near Pickering on December 28.
Fundraisers are asking local people to wear Father Christmas costume. Both adults and children will be guided by a Purple Mountain instructor. For those unable to transport bikes, Purple Mountain will provide free cycle hire.
Registration costs 10 per person or 20 per family and cyclists are asked to raise as much sponsorship as possible to benefit the charity.
