Sightings of missing nanny lead to renewed appeal
POLICE in Bradford are re-appealing for information on the whereabouts of a 32-year-old woman who has been missing since June.
Kumari Tamang was reported missing by her employers when she failed to return home after a trip to Shipley town centre.
She was working as a nanny at the time, and her employers have appealed for her to contact them. She has been living in the country since April and doesn't have any family in the area.
Kumari, who speaks only limited English, is described as oriental, 5ft 2ins tall, of a medium build with a tanned complexion, brown eyes, and collar length black hair, which is usually tied back.
She was wearing brown denim jeans and a black leather jacket.
Detective Inspector John Mountain of Airedale and North Bradford CID said: "We had a positive response to the last press appeal with several sightings around the Four Lane Ends and Thornton Road areas of Bradford.
"We've also had information that suggests Kumari may be working for an Indian family in the Bradford area. I am particularly appealing to members of the Indian community to contact us if they know where Kumari is."
Anyone with information is asked to contact PC Jayne Allan on 0845 60 60 606 or the Missing Persons Helpline on 0500 700 700.
