Software firm Sandford buys website designer
Ian Briggs software provider Sandford Technology expects its turnover to increase to £1m following the acquisition of website design company Leap Frog.
Sandford has doubled its staff to 14 following the deal, completed for an undisclosed sum.
Leap Frog, previously based in Halifax, has relocated to Sandford's base in Normanton, West Yorkshire, as part of the deal.
Sandford offers a range of consultancy, website, software application, e-commerce and online security services to its clients, which are in the UK, mainland Europe, the United States and South East Asia.
Leap Frog, which will continue to trade under its own brand following the acquisition, has clients in the industrial engineering, leisure, finance, retail, tourism, housing and technology sectors.
It was established eight years ago and has worked for Bradford Council, Cedar Court Hotel Group, Kingfell, University of York, GE Capital Finance and the Countryside Agency.
Sandford managing director Richard Atkinson said: "We're delighted by our acquisition of Leap Frog.
"It's good news for our businesses as it will enhance their capabilities, and it's great news for our clients who will benefit the most from having a complete range of IT services under the same roof."
Anthony Jones, business development manager at Leap Frog, said the merger was a great leap forward and the business could now offer a new level of support giving real added value to customers.
