Three killed in shooting at restaurant
Three people were killed and seven others injured in a drive-by shooting outside a California pizza restaurant where a motorcycle group was hosting an event.
Los Angeles County sheriff's Deputy Keith Ho said ten people gathered in the car park of the restaurant in Pico Rivera were shot at from a moving vehicle on Saturday evening.
Mr Ho said three people died at the scene. Seven others were taken to hospital in stable condition.
Nobody inside the restaurant was injured.
A biker group known as the Old School Riders was hosting an event at the time.
Meanwhile, a gun-toting Kentucky pastor encouraged his congregation to bring a gun to his church – at least for one day.
Ken Pagano urged his flock to bring their unloaded handguns – in holsters – to New Bethel Church for an event yesterday celebrating the US Constitution's second amendment guaranteeing the right to bear arms.
Mr Pagano says he got the idea after some members at the Pentecostal church expressed concern about the Barack Obama administration's views on gun control.
