Tomlinsons sample memorial meal
Leeds restaurant Casa Mia is showing its support for a special young diner by designing a new dish to raise money in memory of his mum Jane Tomlinson.
Steven Tomlinson, 13, along with his dad Mike, visited the Casa Mia Millennium in Leeds City centre where they sampled the new dish Pasta Dell'Atleta alongside owner Francesco Mazzella and chef Patsy Sykes. The Casa Mia Millennium is on the doorstep of the start line for the Leeds 10k, and hopes diners will take the opportunity to order the dish and in the process donate 1 to the Jane Tomlinson Appeal.
Pasta dell'Atleta, an Italian dish of crispy bacon, garlic, onion, cherry tomato and basil, will be sold across all three Casa Mia restaurants. On race day, July 4, Casa Mia Millennium will open at 7am to sell a special breakfast pizza to racers, with 1 from each going towards the appeal. The Yorkshire Post is a media partner in the memorial run the Jane Tomlinson Leeds 10K fundraiser.
