Video: Firefighters tackle huge blaze at Bradford bed factory
MORE than 60 firefighters spent the night tackling a huge blaze at a bed factory in Bradford.
Twelve fire engines from Bradford and Leeds, including an aerial appliance and command unit, were called to the building in Great Russell Street, Listerhills yesterday evening.
A brigade spokesman said they had managed to save the majority of the building.
Ian Bitcon, senior operations officer for West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service, said: "Firefighters did a fantastic job in terms of preventing any significant spread.
"Due to the effective tactics employed by the initial fire crews, including quick ventilation of the building, three quarters of the building was saved. They did an excellent job."
