Young Actress To Star In Second Narnia Blockbuster

Lizzie Murphy ILKLEY actress Georgie Henley who plays Lucy in the hit film The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe has signed up to star in the second film in The Chronicles of Narnia series.

Ten-year-old Georgie, and the other three stars William Moseley, Anna Popplewell and Skandar Keynes, will return as the Pevensie children in Prince Caspian, with filming due to begin in the autumn for a Christmas 2007 release.

Making the first film, which was released in December, took them all over the world and they are expected to travel abroad this time as well.

It will be a busy year for Georgie, who won international acclaim for her performance in the first film. She has just finished performing as one of the babes in the Babes in the Wood pantomime with the Ilkley Upstagers. She is also due to start secondary school in September.

Prince Caspian will reunite most of the principal cast and creative team responsible for the first movie.

The CS Lewis novel was published in 1951 and is the second book in the seven-book series. It is a sequel to The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe.
