I DEPLORE the arrogance of North Yorkshire’s crime Commissioner Julia Mulligan for using a police car to carry out her normal work commitments after her car developed a puncture. How does she think ordinary mortals cope in such a situation?
Next time she should be advised to contact the AA, RAC or Green Flag, all of whom attend quickly to a lone female driver in distress.

Travelling all over Driffield on Wednesday, I saw not one St George’s flag flying. The only red cross sign was on a sweatshirt worn by a retired soldier. Well done Col Sgt French.
