Cambridge shadows chosen
FOUR Yorkshire students are the first from their inner-city school to be given the chance to shadow undergraduates at Cambridge as part of a programme aimed at helping them apply to the world’s top-ranked university.
Simran Aujla, 17, George Searle, 16, Danielle Jackson, 16 and Gary Bourke, 16 from Tong High in Bradford, are taking part in the Cambridge Shadowing Scheme.
It aims to allow top students from schools without a tradition of top university entry to Cambridge to give them a taste of everything they can expect from university life, including lectures, supervisions, playing sport, going shopping and socialising.
