Canalside scheme wins top plaudits for regeneration
GRANARY Wharf, Leeds’ canalside development, has won an award for its “outstanding design ethos and build quality”.
The multi-million pound development beat competition from every region to win the regeneration category at the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors awards.
An RICS spokeswoman described Granary Wharf as “world class”.
Judges were impressed by the restored features including railway arches and canal dock. Others finalists included Sheffield’s Western Bank Library and Leeds City College’s Keighley campus.
