Six hurt in blast at Fox’s biscuit factory
Firefighters at Fox's Biscuits, Batley, today.
SIX people have been injured in a blast at a West Yorkshire biscuit factory.
An oil storage tanker being decommissioned at the Fox’s Biscuits plant in Batley exploded at about 10.45am, West Yorkshire Fire Service said.
One man was rescued by firefighters at the scene and has been taken to Pinderfields Hospital for treatment.
A further five people were treated on site for the effects of breathing in smoke.
Firefighters remain at the scene damping down the site.
