Splitting Westlife in final store tour
Pop band Westlife met hundreds of adoring fans yesterday when they signed copies of their greatest hits album.
Nicky Byrne, Shane Filan, Mark Feehily and Kian Egan visited stores in Glasgow, Newcastle and Manchester, for the last time before they split up next year.
The Greatest Hits album was released yesterday.
The band announced last month that they will go their separate ways after a farewell tour next year.
The Irish group, who have been together for 14 years, have chalked up 26 top 10 hits including 14 number ones.
The group – for many years managed by Louis Walsh – survived the departure of founding member Bryan McFadden, and continued seamlessly as a four-piece. They have had 11 top five albums – seven of which went to number one – and sold 44 million records worldwide.
