Audio: Leeds Carnegie coach gives backing to Matt Stevens
WORLD CUP winner Neil Back has offered his support to Matt Stevens following the Bath player's admission that he failed a drugs test.
Stevens, 26, admitted he was struggling with "a very serious substance" problem yesterday and was promptly suspended by his club and by England.
He was set to earn his 33rd cap during the forthcoming Six Nations.
Leeds head coach Back, who won the World Cup with England in 2003, admitted his disappointment at the news but believes the 26-year-old will be able to overcome the problem.
Back said: "He needs now for the rugby fraternity to support him, his family and friends, and particularly the club, to get him back on track.
"He's a good rugby player and hopefully he'll be back playing rugby again."
