The store opened its doors to shoppers at 8am with some keen shoppers camping overnight to be the first ones in.

Eddie Plumpton from Harrogate was first to arrive at the store at 10.30pm last night and said he was "surprised" he was the first in line.

He said: "I thought there would have been more people. It's something I wanted to do but I know the store will be incredibly popular in Harrogate."

More than 100 shoppers joined Eddie in the queue through the night and into the morning with the first 100 shoppers receiving a special golden ticket.

Customers were in with a chance of winning a variety of prizes including a 40" HD Smart TV, a Tablet, a Sat Nav and a Portable DVD Player.
