Blueberry’s efforts bear fruit as turnover and profits take off

BLUEBERRY Marketing Solutions, the Yorkshire-based business development agency, saw its profits soar last year as it picked up new clients in a fiercely competitive market.

Last year, Blueberry’s turnover rose from £445,000 to £576,000, while its profits increased from £30,000 to £119,000.

The Leeds firm, which employs 21 staff, expects to have increased its revenues by the end of this financial year.

The company provides marketing and business development services for private and public sector clients. Its Yorkshire-based clients include Leeds College of Building.

Blueberry was founded by entrepreneur Faresh Maisuria in 2005. He said: “Our profit has almost quadrupled since last year, which can be attributed to the expansion of our work force due to a growing client base.

“We have also invested heavily in training our staff, to ensure that they have the knowledge to provide our clients with the best possible service, which has resulted in new business and existing contract renewals.

“I’m extremely proud of Blueberry’s business success and fully expect us to reach our target of another 12 per cent revenue increase by January 2015.

“Our growth strategy focuses on our expertise across a range of industries; ensuring growth will be sustainable long term and is not vulnerable to external market changes. No client accounts for more than 12 per cent of our revenue, and our top 10 customers account for less than 50 per cent of total income.

“Our entire management team started working here as graduates, and we work with local universities to provide employment opportunities for graduates.”
