JAMES BOND star Daniel Craig is to become the latest Hollywood star to film in Scotland.
The actor is to shoot the final parts of the latest 007 movie at Duntrune Castle, near Lochgilphead in Argyll.
According to unconfirmed reports, the film will be called SkyFall. It is believed the castle will be used as a location for the spy’s ancestral home, although interior scenes will be shot in the studio. Filming takes place in February – and the action is to be set in the depths of winter. Patricia Malcolm, who lives in the castle with her husband Robin, said: “I believe it’s mostly being filmed in China and Turkey. They want a winter scene, so they are going to bring their own snow.”
Mrs Malcolm confessed she was a fan of Sean Connery’s portrayal of the character.
She said: “I think this one will be a bit more subtle than those in recent years because Sam Mendes is a very good director and has worked in the theatre.”
