Boy, 11, badly hurt in York bus crash

An 11-year-old boy has been rushed to hospital with serious arm and leg injuries after being hit by a bus in York.

The collision took place on Tadcaster Road, near to the junction with Pulleyn Drive, at around 8.10am today.

North Yorkshire Police say the boy was airlifted to Leeds General Infirmary suffering from injuries to his arms and legs.

The road was closed this morning between Pulleyn Drive and the traffic lights at Hob Moor, while specialist collision investigators conduct their enquiries at the scene.
