Brentford v Leeds United: Christmas wish can come early
League one: LEEDS United visit Brentford for the first time in over 50 years aiming for the win that would guarantee leadership of League One on Christmas Day.
Manager Simon Grayson has again stressed that promotion is the priority for Leeds this season and does not want his players to be distracted by next month's FA Cup third-round tie at Manchester United.
"People outside the club can talk about the Cup as much as they want, but we're not," he said. "Whether the Cup tie acts as added motivation is another matter. Everyone will want to play in that game so, from that point of view, it may be an extra positive."
Table-topping Leeds are four points clear of Charlton and eight points ahead of Norwich City, having picked up 16 points from the last six games.
Brentford, meanwhile, are just two points above the relegation zone in 18th spot but have lost only two of their 10 league games at Griffin Park.
