An online motor auction specialist is investing £500,000 in the development of its Leeds-based headquarters and aims to double its 22-strong workforce by the end of January.
G3 Remarketing’s expansion comes after a record year for the company, as turnover hit the £4m mark and profits totalled £900,000.
G3 has so far focused on the auction of end-of-lease cars, but will use the investment to redevelop its four-acre site with a new physical auction hall with 30,000 sq ft viewing auditorium, buyers’ lounges and space to store up to 200 vehicles under cover. A £100,000 inspection and imaging studio – unique to the industry – is also being constructed.
The longer term aim is to expand the online and physical auction sales throughout the UK, either organically or via acquisition.
