Car collides with tree near hospital in Hull

Police were called to Beverley Road, Anlaby, following the crash near the Spire Hull and East Riding Hospital at around 3pm today (Wednesday).

The driver of the car, a black Vauxhall Corsa, was hurt in the collision and has been taken to Hull Royal Infirmary for treatment.

His injuries are not thought to be life threatening, police said.

The road is currently closed and motorists have been asked to use alternative routes.
