THREE men were caught on CCTV cameras in York throwing bin bags and upending wheelie bins in footage which has been viewed over 20,000 times.
York Council released the film to deter people from misbehaving in the city centre.
The men were on Gillygate at 2.30am on Tuesday January 7 when their behaviour was captured.
Police were called by CCTV controllers and were quickly on the scene. The men were made to clean up the mess, warned about their behaviour and allowed to go.
Superintendent Phil Cain said: “I commend the officers involved for dealing with the incident in a sensible and proportionate manner and hopefully the lads in question will learn some lessons from this and improve their conduct in the future.”
