Cotton King again takes top breed award
Yorkshire breeder Hazel Bramley was presented with the award for the best British bred six-year-old eventer at the recent British Breeders' awards dinner in London.
Cotton King also previously won this award as a four-year-old.
By the advanced event stallion Mill Law, out of Royal Gem, he is no stranger to success, having won at a number of shows, in hand, including The Great Yorkshire.
He was Champion Futurity Eventer as a three and four-year-old and won the Burghley Young Event Horse four-year-old Championship.
Now owned by Marguerite Boucher and ridden by Rodney Powell, he has gone on to have a flourishing career eventing, having accumulated 37 British Eventing points in only a short time.
On the Equine Pathway scheme for potential Olympic horses for 2012, this is certainly a horse to watch out for.
Mill Law also sired the four-year-old winner Coopers Law, bred in Derbyshire by owner Nicky Dickson.
Hazel Bramley was also responsible for Triple Crown, the overall reserve futurity champion.
Out of Hazel's very successful mare Triple Echo, this two-year-old is owned by Sue Browne and has had an excellent run of wins in the show ring, which include victory at the Great Yorkshire Show as both a foal and a yearling and taking the Hunter Foal Championship at the National Hunter Show.
