The Blue Faced show winners
GIMMER hoggs from the Smearsett flock run by father and son David and Robin Booth, at Feizor, near Settle, were judged best entries in Skipton Mart’s annual show and sale of Blue Faced Leicester females – and sold for the best prices, at £800 each.
The buyers were Kevin and James Wilson at Blubberhouses and Will Wildman at Kirkby Malham. Best in-lamb female was a 2-shear ewe from the Chelker flock of Joe and Nancy Throup at Berwick Intake Farm, Draughton, sold for £650 to James Middleton, of Arncliffe.
