Appeal after reports of sex attack in Huddersfield

Police in Huddersfield are appealing for witnesses after an allegation of a serious sexual assault in the early hours of today (Saturday, March 11).

The incident happened on playing fields off of Spaines Road, Huddersfield at 1.50am, West Yorkshire Police have said.

“Officers are currently investigating the incident and enquiries are at an early stage,” a statement read.

“Police want to speak to a man aged between 19 and 25, of an athletic build with short hair at the sides in connection with the incident. He was wearing a Parka coat.”

Detective Inspector Steph Wiseman of Kirklees CID, said: “I would appeal for anyone who saw or heard anything to come forward with information to help us with our investigation.”
