Detectives investigating a man’s murder in Doncaster are continuing to question a suspect today (Monday).
Emergency services were called to The Avenue at around 12.30am on Saturday morning following reports that a man in his 50s had suffered life-threatening injuries.
He was taken to hospital in critical condition, where he died later that evening.
South Yorkshire Police are yet to name the man, but said a post mortem examination had found the cause of death was a stab wound.
A 32-year-old woman and a 17-year-old boy were initially arrested on suspicion of attempted murder, with the charges changed to murder following the victim’s death.
The boy has been released on police bail whie enquiries continue, but officers are continuing to question the woman.
