BRITISH Transport Police are hunting a man who performed a sex act in front of a 19-year-old woman after she boarded a train at Leeds rail station.

Officers have released a CCTV image (see picture) of a man they want to speak to in connection with the incident, which happened on the 10.35am Leeds to Manchester Piccadilly service on Sunday February 7.

Police said after the woman got off the train at Huddersfield, the man closely followed her through the station and into the city centre as she walked to work.

Pc Jack Harkin said: “This was understandably an unpleasant and unnerving experience for the victim. Nobody travelling on the railway should have to put up with this type of behaviour and we’re determined to find the man responsible.”

“We believe the man captured on the on board CCTV can help us with our enquiry. If you think you can name him, or if you have any information to help our investigation, we’d urge anyone to get in touch.”
