Manhunt launched after woman, 31, sexually assaulted in Sheffield

Police are hunting a man after a 31-year-old woman was sexually assaulted in Sheffield.

The victim was targeted by an unknown man as she left an apartment complex in Blonk Street yesterday at around 5.50pm.

The man is described as being in his early 30s, Asian, of medium build and was wearing blue jeans and a t-shirt.

South Yorkshire Police are reviewing CCTV footage from the area.

Detective Inspector Mark Monteiro said: “The woman continues to be supported by specialist officers and I would like to ask anyone who was in the area at the time and who may have seen anyone acting suspiciously or matching the description to contact us.”
