Police cordon in place after woman found hanged in Huddersfield

The 35-year-old was discovered just before 6.30am near to the Broadway Hair Salon in Bradford Road.

Several police cars and an ambulance responder unit went to the scene, where emergency services attempted to resuscitate the woman before she was taken to hospital.

Police taped off a large section of pavement at the front of a number of business premises on the street.

A West Yorkshire Police spokesman said: “The 35-year-old was taken to hospital and is in a critical condition.

“Investigations are currently ongoing as to the circumstances.”
