THREE people were arrested after a teenager died of serious head injuries in the early hours of yesterday morning.

Lisa Saville, 19, died shortly after being found at 3.07am in City Lane in Halifax.

A 24-year-old man and a 19-year-old woman were arrested on suspicion of manslaughter. The man was last night in police custody while the woman has been released without charge.

Later a 42-year-old local man, was also arrested on suspicion of manslaughter. He remains in police custody.

Detectives believe Miss Saville got into a Hackney carriage-style taxi with two other people before she was found and are now urgently trying to trace the driver of the vehicle.

It is thought she got the into the car, described as white with a sliding door, from the taxi rank on Waterhouse Street, Halifax, before travelling to City Lane, in the Wheatley area of the town where she was eventually found.
