Police are investigating after a woman was found collapsed on a road in Bradford with serious injuries.

Ambulance crews and police were called to the junction of Water Lane and Paradise Street in Bradford yesterday morning.

They found a woman in her 30s with serious injuries to her head and legs.

She was taken to Bradford Royal Infirmary where she received urgent medical treatment. She remains in a serious condition in hospital.

Three arrests have been made in connection with the incident. All three have been bailed pending further enquiries.

Detective Inspector Matthew Walker, of Bradford CID, said: "We are appealing for information about this incident which has left a woman with very serious injuries.

"In particular, we are hoping to speak to the driver of a red transit-style van which stopped near to the scene, as he may have vital information about this incident to assist with our enquiries."

Anyone with any information is asked to call 101.
