Woman hurt in gun and knifepoint robbery in Sheffield

A WOMAN suffered a cut to her hand when she was robbed by two men who threatened her with a gun and a knife in Sheffield last night.

The 46-year-old woman was targeted by two men demanding money as she walked along a cycle path near Greenland View in the Darnall area of Sheffield just after 9.30pm on Monday.

Police said the men are alleged to have threatened the woman with what is believed to be a handgun and a knife.

The woman suffered a cut to her hand from the knife as the suspects grabbed her bag and fled the scene in the direction of Darnall cemetery.

South Yorkshire Police are appealing for witnesses, or anyone with informnation, to call 101 quoting incident number 1240 of 2 November 2015.
