Young boy approached by man in Hull

A young boy was accosted as he was riding his scooter in Hessle by a man who shouted at him to ‘get in the car’, police have said.

Police say the 11 year-old boy from Hull was approached by a man driving a black car on North Road in Hessle around 8pm on Thursday night.

The boy was riding his scooter on the footpath when a man driving a black car with tinted windows pulled up alongside him.

“The man is described as of mixed race appearance, in his 20s with a partially bald head,” police said.

“The man shouted at the boy to ‘get in the car’. The boy sensibly did not respond to the man and rode quickly home.”
