TWO paedophiles have been jailed after they plotted together in text messages to abuse a young boy.
Sentencing Nigel Scott and Christopher Lee at Leeds Crown Court yesterday Judge James Spencer QC said there seemed no limit to their depravity.
Jailing HIV positive Lee, 39 for five years and Scott, 35 for seven years, he said their offending was “extremely serious”, with one incident involving the youngster “as bad a case as one can imagine”.
Both men admitted conspiring to commit sexual assault on a child under 13.
Scott, of Norman Place, Horbury, Wakefield also admitted inciting a child under 13 to engage in sexual activity and 13 charges of making and distributing indecent images and movies of children.
Jon Gregg, prosecuting, said following information from Essex colleagues who had carried out a raid in Westcliffe-on-Sea, police searched Scott’s home on May 14, where he lived alone.
They seized mobile telephones, computers, cameras and memory sticks as well as sexual aids and bondage equipment.
Investigation revealed Scott had 3,019 indecent images of children, some of which he had photographed and distributed along with 45 indecent movies.
The boy was later identified from some of the images. His horrified mother had no idea he had been targeted.
Examination of the phones also revealed the depraved texts between him and Lee of The Oval, Dunscroft, Doncaster and their interest in “bodily fluids” and soiled clothing in relation to the boy.
Lee knew he was HIV positive at the time but did not tell Scott.
John Wilkinson, for Scott, said he accepted the offences were “sick and perverse”.
Robert Sandford for Lee said he never met the boy but the texts would bring disgust and revulsion from right-thinking people.
