Doncaster Rovers v Crystal Palace: Taking Stock over future prospects
Championship: DONCASTER midfielder Brian Stock could miss the rest of the season after suffering a recurrence of a back injury.
The Welsh international visited a specialist yesterday to discuss his options.
Manager Sean O'Driscoll said: "We don't want to put his long-term future in jeopardy for the sake of a handful of games. He can either have surgery, which would rule him out for the rest of the season, or he could have an injection. If it was to reoccur, there would be no choice but to have the surgery and get fit for next season."
Stock missed the final two months of last season after back surgery and missed four months of this campaign with an ankle injury. O'Driscoll added: "I think he will give the injection one last chance and see if the reaction is favourable."
Palace manager Neil Warnock has been tipped to join QPR after today's game.
