THERE is a chance to enjoy a night of festive food and the heart-warming film Elf on the big screen this Christmas at a special screening in the Yorkshire Museum’s cinema.
Mince pies, a full Christmas themed buffet and a festive drink will be served while carols are played in the atmospheric surroundings of the Medieval Gallery at the museum in York.
Guests will then sit back and relax at a one off screening of the cult Christmas classic Elf, on the full size cinema screen in the museum.
There will be a Christmas gift fair in the Hospitium, also in the York Museum Gardens, and the Yorkshire Museum shop will be offering a 20 per cent discount on ideal Christmas gifts to those who attend.
The event is taking place on December 5. The gift fair will run from 11am until 6.30pm and is free to all.
Jennifer Cork, wedding and events supervisor for York Museums Trust, said: “We think there is no better way to get your-elf into the Christmas spirit than eating fantastic Christmas food and watching the brilliant Elf.
For the film and buffet, doors open at 6.30pm and the film starting at 7.30pm. Tickets cost £15 and can be bought by phoning 01904 687671 or by
