Tomorrow is Open Farm Sunday, the annual occasion when farmers play host to the public and give them a taste of farming life.
Activities at host farms vary between venues but include guided walks, milking and shearing demonstrations and tractor and trailer rides.
LEAF, the farming and environmental charity, co-ordinates the day across the country.
Participating farms in North Yorkshire include: Askham Bryan College in York, Birchfield Farm in Summerbridge, Dykelands Farm in Airton, Skipton, The Hayshed Experience at Fowl Green Farm, Whitby, Hole House Farm in Beckwithshaw, Harrogate, Kilnsey Park Estate in Kilnsey, Lowfields Farm in Brompton, Northallerton, Curlew Fields Farm in Hessay, York, Home Farm in East Rounton, Northallerton, South Acre Farm in Melbourne, York, Stepney Hill Farm in Scarborough, Stonebeck Gate Farm in Lealholm, Whitby, The Cud Life at Spruisty Hall Farm, Killinghall and The Farmers Cart and Piglets Adventure Farm Park in Towthorpe Grange, York.
