THE GREAT and the good of the region’s thriving food and drink scene are set to descend on Harrogate for a night to remember.

Tomorrow evening, shortlisted food and drink producers from across Yorkshire will gather at Pavilions of Harrogate at the Great Yorkshire Showground where the winners of the 2015 Taste Awards will be revealed.

The Yorkshire Post and Deliciouslyorkshire awards, run in association with Asda, have attracted record entries this year.

A panel of food industry experts, chefs and supermarket buyers have considered and tasted the entries, and now those that impressed the most are set to be announced at an awards dinner hosted by Deliciouslyorkshire chairwoman Judy Bell and BBC Radio 2 food critic Nigel Barden.

Helen Miles, press and marketing manager at Deliciouslyorkshire, said: “It’s going to be a fantastic night celebrating the hard work and dedication of all the food and drink producers in the region who entered their products and businesses into this year’s awards.

“The evening will start with a drinks reception where we’ll be serving some special Yorkshire cocktails before getting the delicious dinner and awards ceremony underway. It’s the most delicious party of the year.”
