EMPLOYMENT services firm Renovo has bought a local HR recruitment consultancy as it looks to grow.
Renovo, based in York, has acquired Eden Jones, also based in the city, as it tries to increase turnover from 2m to 15m over five years.
The firm, led by David Twiddle, wants to expand its services to cover the entire employment lifecycle, including executive recruitment, employee engagement and outplacement. It also gives it a new HR recruitment division.
Eden Jones, set up by Melanie Jones, provides an executive recruitment service and its clients include a number of FTSE 250 companies.
David Twiddle, chief executive at Renovo said: "The acquisition of Eden Jones is a major step for us in expanding our overall proposition to clients.
"We share a passion to develop HR as a core strategic area of our executive recruitment division, and the synergy across both businesses will enable us to extend our employee engagement and outplacement offering to further clients throughout the UK.
"Melanie is extremely well regarded in the HR recruitment sector. She will retain all of Eden Jones' existing clients and continue to drive the service with the support of a larger team and new resources to be able to expand on the range of services, adding even greater value for both respective clients."
Ms Jones said said: "For some time we have been seeking a partnership that could add further value to our client base.
"We share the same values as Renovo, with a focus on quality and integrity and I am thrilled to be driving HR as a core strategic area of Renovo's executive recruitment offering."
Renovo has worked with the Department of Work and Pensions and Jobcentre Plus. Eden Jones will start operating under the Renovo Employment Group brand immediately.
