Zenith has been named Leasing Company of the Year at a national awards ceremony following a year of growth.
The company, which was founded in 1989 and is based in Leeds, was selected from a shortlist of four, including Alphabet, LeasePlan and Leasedrive, at the Fleet News Awards.
Over the last 12 months, Zenith has completed a rebrand, developed new driver portals and rolled out Pulse, an advanced online fleet diagnostic tool.
HSBC Corporate Banking completed a multi-million pound securitisation deal for the firm last year, which will provide the company with income through the capital markets.
In addition, Zenith has won 18 new customers, including Santander, Adecco, Philips, Clifford Chance, Norton Rose, Morrison Utility Services and Croudace Homes, and increased its fleet by 16 per cent.
The company now employs 190 people in Leeds after creating 15 new jobs in the last year, and commercial director Ian Hughes said staff numbers would increase further in 2012.
Mr Hughes added that in a fleet sector dominated by companies owned by the major banks, Zenith triumphed at the awards through its innovation, drive, creativity and investment in its IT platform and people. “That’s really great news for a Yorkshire company in challenging economic times,” said Mr Hughes.
The ceremony was held at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London, hosted by newsreader Kate Silverton.
