THE final deadline is fast-approaching to enter The Yorkshire Post Excellence in Business Awards.

Companies must submit their entries by the end of tomorrow to be in with a chance of being highlighted in the region’s most prestigious awards ceremony.

The awards, which were established in 2006, celebrate the incredible range of enterprises that have established a base in the region.

There are 14 categories this year: Companies with a turnover over £50m, sponsored by DLA Piper, Companies with a turnover between £10m and £50m, sponsored by PwC and Companies with a turnover up to £10m, sponsored by Yorkshire Bank.

Apart from awards linked to the size of a company’s turnover, there is an Entrepreneur category, sponsored by The Sewell Group, an Outstanding Employer category, sponsored by Bradford School of Management, and an award for a Young Business, sponsored by Plusnet.

We are also looking for diversity champions and passionate supporters of apprenticeships as well as firms who go above and beyond when it comes to community responsibility and those which have made inspiring use of commercial space.

There are also awards for exporters, technology and leadership as well as a turnaround category, which salutes the professionals who are skilled at bringing firms back from the brink.
