Knight fights to get kids healthy
NHS Leeds and Extended Services Inner North West Hub is inviting children, young people and their families and the wider community to the Be Healthy Be Fit event.
The free event takes place at Abbey Grange Church of England High School on Tuesday July 7 from 4.30pm to 7.30pm.
To help children, young people and their families understand the importance of a healthy lifestyle, the Royal Armouries will be sending a healthy knight. People can find out what a knight needed to do to keep fit and what he ate.
As well as the visitor from the past, the event will feature advice and information on a number of modern services available for people to lead healthier lifestyles. This includes the school nursing service, sleep support for people aged up to 16 and advice on how to reduce the impact of secondhand smoke.
