Staff at law firm DLA Piper are set to march this weekend in the Leeds Pride parade, becoming the first global law firm to do so.
The event, now in its tenth year, is a celebration of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) culture. As part of the festivities, DLA Piper will be hosting a breakfast networking event with global property management company, JLL.
Guest speakers include Alison Lowe who is chief executive of Yorkshire-based wellbeing charity, Touchstone. She will discuss her views on workplace barriers that LGBT communities face.
DLA Piper Leeds Office Managing Partner, Sarah Day, said: “We are proud to support diversity and inclusion across the UK. This event is the first time the firm has marched independently in a pride parade, and I’m thrilled that this will take place in Leeds. We look forward to welcoming members of staff from across the UK and Europe.”
