IT and communications specialist LDD Group is on track to beat its growth targets after securing work in new sectors.
The company, which is based at the Wira Business Park, Leeds, achieved £11.9m turnover last year, having grown its services and the range of sectors it operates in.
LDD is forecasting a further 44 per cent growth this year to smash its original target of £15m turnover by 2015. It plans to hire more staff.
The company has continued to grow, despite the turmoil that followed the economic crisis of 2008.
In the last year, the company acquired education IT specialist Compubyte for an undisclosed sum, adding to its existing portfolio of services for the education sector.
A company spokesman said yesterday: “This, coupled with the rolling out of a dedicated telecoms team which allows the company to provide LDD branded wholesale telecoms packages, represents a significant departure from the company’s IT reseller roots.”
LDD is targeting turnover of more than £16m in 2014, with further growth in the next three years.
To meet the demand, the company has appointed two new members of staff.
David Gomersall joins the business as a telecoms data specialist and Richard Shelley has been appointed onto the sales team.
Mandi Iles, the group commercial Director at LDD Group, said yesterday: “We are delighted to be on track to beat our turnover target this year.
“We are an ambitious company and our recent expansion into new sectors with new services reinforces that.
“The reorganisation means that, while attracting new customers through the new range of products we offer, we are now able to offer our existing customers new complementary services, giving them a one-stop-shop solution.”
Established in 1993 in the corner of a dairy warehouse in Seacroft, LDD has grown to employ 49 staff and counts Nike UK, Berkshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust and Symphony Group among its clients.
