Full coverage of the race, with exclusive video

Hi all, myself and seven of my friends ran the Leeds 10k run yesterday and thought you might like the attached photo of us at the finish line.

We were running for the charity Childrens Heart Surgery Fund in Leeds hospital on behalf of my son Max who had heart surgery there at 2 days old. Many people thought we were mice haha but we were actually our charity bear "katie Bear"

funnily enough. We had a fantastic time and loved every single mile of it while raising some much needed money. The girls running are (myself) cheryl robinson, my sister kim robinson, my best friend (who ran it last year with me) nicky simpkins, and my other friends karen eyre, clare palmer, claire howitt, kate holdsworth and andrea holdsworth.

Thanks so much for showing the photo of some of us in your paper yesterday, the one attached is of all of us.

My daughter Louise and I took part in the Jane Tomlinson 10k today. I was diagnosed with cancer in April 2008; my sister June was diagnosed with cancer 8 weeks later. My daughter has helped me to train for this and said that she would run with me for support. I have raised over 700 plus gift aid for Yorkshire Cancer Research. It took us 1 hour 18 mins to complete.

It was a very enjoyable albeit emotional day and one we hope to repeat.

Thank you

Christine Eaton

We've had a fantastic day, running the Run for All, both of us in better times than last year.

We travelled from our home in Valencia, Spain, to take part. Through the generous sponsorship of friends and family in both Spain and England, we raised 355 for Jane's Appeal. Not content with that, we have personally pledged to match the money raised with a donation to Project Why - www.projectwhy.org - in New Delhi.

We worked there last year, repairing a school room floor on a rubbish dump, and saw scenes of incredible poverty. The money we will be sending to the charity will educate 40 children for two months, covering the cost of teachers' salaries, transport and materials. So Jane Tomlinson's Run for All has had a massive impact internationally!

The Jane Tomlinson Leeds 10k - it's what you do in June now. Thanks again to the Chattoe family for cheering me on outside Harvey Nicks when I was ready to spontaneously combust in the heat! See you all again next year.

Many thanks for an other 'great' run. If it was not for the Leeds 10k I would not be running or hoping to run the Athens Marathon on November. Thanks to every one, it is just so well organised and wonderful. This was my 3 rd time and I shall keep coming.

It was good to be with so many people who had raised funds for charity and who were out to enjoy themselves.

I travelled by car with my wife. It was Hobson's choice because there were public transport alternatives from Shipley or Bradford but NOT if runners wanted to arrive on time.

Jane Tomlinson dedicated what remained of her life to raise funding and awareness of the need for improved treatment and early diagnosis for cancer sufferers. She made a valiant attempt to improve the health of the nation. By attracting as many cars as possible into Leeds it appears that the organisers of the race have a different agenda.

I can understand that Sunday is the best day for the event but why so early?

Why is it not possible to start the race at 10 am? Why is there no park and ride arrangement? Why have the organisers not talked to the rail and bus services to request special services?

I am 73; my daughter, Clare died for cancer in Wheatfields in January. Members of the local Catholic Church, St. Walburga's, Shipley helped me to rase 1,722. 50. for the hospice.
