The M62 is now open following an accident which closed a stretch of motorway between Rothwell and Tingley this afternoon.
A spokesperson for West Yorkshire Police said it was called to a collision between a blue Peugeot 207 and a white Mercedes articulated lorry at 12.18pm.
He said: “The collision occurred close to junction 30 on the eastbound carriageway. The car was on its roof but both the female driver and the vehicle’s passenger are out of the car.
“They are not believed to be seriously injured.”
The carriageway was closed between junction 30 (Rothwell) and junction 28 (Tingley) while emergency services carried out their work.
The collision followed an earlier accident during this morning’s rush hour.
There was slow traffic and congestion the M62 westbound after junction 30, A642 (Rothwell) to junction 32, A639 (Pontefract).
The vehicles were moved to the hard shoulder to allow all lanes to be reopened.
