Calderdale Council says that electors and proxies in the Warley ward who normally vote in person should not attend at their allocated polling station on May 3.
Postal voters in the ward are being told to note that postal ballot papers will not be issued to them at this stage.
Poll cards, in respect of the new election date, on June 14, will be sent to all eligible electors in due course.
Remaining candidates in the Warley Ward will not need to submit a fresh nomination in respect of the
new election date as the legislation allows for their existing nomination to remain valid.
The election timetable does, however, start again and new nominations and/or withdrawals of candidature can be accepted.
The Notice of Election will be published on May 9 and nominations will close at noon on May 17.
