Man struck by car in Dewsbury is seriously injured

A MAN suffered serious head injuries after he was struck by a car in Dewsbury last night.

Police said The 41-year-old pedestrian was involved in collision with a grey Ford Mondeo outside the Shepherds Boy pub on the A644 Huddersfield Road just after 11.30pm.

The man, who suffered serious facial and head injuries, taken to Leeds General Infirmary.

Police want to speak to anyone who witnessed the collision or who believes they saw the Mondeo or pedestrian involved immediately before it happened.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Western Area Safer Roads and Neighbourhood Support Team via 101.
