DOROTHY Bradbury castigates those who yap on mobiles instead of enjoying and stimulating the child in the buggy (The Yorkshire Post, May 13); I couldn’t agree more, recalling wonderful memories of walking, talking, singing and laughing with children and grandchildren.

WE have recently celebrated VE Day – 70 years since the end of the Second World War. The events were enjoyed by many, even by people who were not born 70 years ago. This should be an annual event, like Remembrance Sunday every year, in order to help people of all ages to remember the history of this country and its significance.
