Doncaster Council has announced it has increased the amount of overnight accommodation for homeless people over winter.
The authority’s contractor, M25 Housing and Support Group, has set aside 10 beds at Wharf House in Doncaster town centre until March 2014. Anyone who is currently homeless can simply call in or be referred by another agency where appropriate. To assist those who have been receiving help and are ready to move towards more independent living, the council has also commissioned 14 new units of supported accommodation in the community from M25.
The M25 Group will also be running a Boxing Day Café today at the United Reformed Church, Hallgate between noon and 1.30 pm.
